Veteran Egyptian director and actor Galal El-Sharkawy had tested positive for Coronavirus.
Abeer El-Sharkawy, the artist's daughter, announced Monday the news on Facebook.
She added that he was experiencing lung problems and asked for prayers that his lung responds to treatment as soon as possible.
Many celebrities and public figures have tested positive for the virus recently including Rashwan Tawfek, Ali Badrakhan, Yasmin Abdelaziz, Ahmed Mekky, Naglaa Badr, Ahmed Hatem, Nourhan Shoeib, Faia Younan, Maha Al Sagheer, and Tamer Habib.
