Today, Thursday, the French government announced that it will reveal new steps to contain the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19).

And the "Sky News" news network - in its English-language version, quoted the French government spokesman, Gabriel Attal - as saying that the new measures to contain the Coronavirus would be announced in France today, Thursday.

Attal added that the government will strengthen social distancing measures and speed up the vaccination campaign amid a rise in the number of infections with the deadly virus.

The network stated that it is also likely that the regulations for the use of the Corona-related health permit will be tightened.

The French official warned that the situation of the spread of the "Coronavirus in France is likely to worsen in the coming days.

But some political figures "from the right and the left" called on the French government to reverse its decision not to bear the costs of tests to detect corona for people who did not receive the anti-COVID-19 vaccination in light of the start of the fifth pandemic wave.

The issue of free tests returned to the table after tests confirmed on  Monday, that the French Prime Minister, Jean Castix, was infected with the Coronavirus.

For others, the cost of antibody-style COVID-19 screening tests ranges between 22 and 45 Euros and about 44 Euros for a PCR test.

Marine Le Pen, President of the National Rally,  reiterated her opposition to compulsory vaccination and the health certificate.

She  explained  that the French people   need  freedom of vaccination, especially since  they   realize that in this health crisis, the vaccine does not prevent infection with (COVID-19) or infection of others."

With regard to the third booster dose, she indicated that everyone should be given the freedom to receive it or refuse it.
