French Astronaut Shares Image of Fayoum As Seen From Space Station

A Stunning image has emerged of one of Egypt's most iconic landmarks from space.

Prominent French Astronaut Thomas Pesquet shared on Sunday a fascinating picture of Fayoum, which appeared green in the shape of a heart in the middle of the sand.

In the same context, he was celebrating his mother's birthday occasion by honoring her anniversary with a sweet social media post.

The loyal son wrote on his Twitter handle: “The landmarks of the Fayoum oasis clearly appear to me like the heart that I give to my mother... Happy birthday to all mothers. “

Later on, the image quickly went viral as social media users shared and commented on it.

According to domestic media, Pesquet's photo is a wonderful new perspective on one of Egypt's most famous tourist destinations.

In 1998, the wellknowen astronaut graduated from the competitive French “classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles” at the Lycée Pierre Corneille in Rouen, France.
