Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry received a phone call, on Sunday, from Hissein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as part of the ongoing preparations for the meeting of the Organization’s foreign ministers (FMs), which will be held in Nouakchott in March 2023.
During their conversation, Shoukry affirmed on Egypt's keenness to actively participate in all the organization's activities, in a way that contributes to maximizing its role in facing the challenges in the Islamic world, especially the Islamophobia phenomenon.
Moreover, the two sides discussed the most prominent regional developments and crises in many countries, stressing the importance of facing such challenges that require concerted efforts to enhance the security and stability of the Islamic world.
