The first details for Egyptian stars Mona Zaki and Karim Abdel Aziz's highly-anticipated film "Leeb Eyal" (Children's Play) have been unveiled.

The film hails from director Tarek Al Eryan and reunites Zaki and Abdel Aziz for the first time in 14 years.

"Leeb Eyal" marks the pair's third collaboration after working on films "Waleed EL Emm" (2009), and "Abo Aly" (2005).

The film is a light-comedy genre that sheds light on the apathy between married couples after 15 years of marriage. It calls on spouses to sacrifice to move forward in life.

"Leeb Eyal" is set to begin production after Al Eryan finishes shooting the long-awaited film "Welad Rizk 3: El Qadya" and Abdel Aziz completes shooting the TV series “Al-Hashashin”.

The big-budget series was set to screen during the holy month of Ramadan but got postponed to Ramadan 2024 due to the tight schedule and filming time as well as the shooting taking place in several countries abroad.

Abdel Aziz is collaborating with screenwriter Abdel Rahim Kamal and director Peter Mimi on the historical project.

The project takes place in the 11th century and sees the actor playing Hassan Al-Sabbah, the founder of Al-Hashashin.

Al-Hashashin was a sect of assassins that operated between 1090 and 1275 CE.

During that time, they lived in the mountains of Persia and Syria and the covert murder of leaders who were considered enemies of the Nizārī Ismāʿīlī State.

The series will also feature Fathy Abdel Wahab, Sherif Salama, Myrna Noureldin, Yasser Ali Maher, Ahmed Kishk, Mohammed Alaa, Amir El-Masry, Suzan Najm Aldeen, and Nicolas Mouawad.
