Production has wrapped on Egyptian actor Amr Youssef's new film “Shaqo” (Brothers).
It also stars Yousra, Mohamed Mamdouh, Dina El Sherbiny Amina Khalil, Abbas Abul-Hassan, and others. The film is scripted by Wissam Sabri and helmed by Karim El Sobky.
The project marks the fifth collaboration between El Sherbiny and Youssef after the 2012 TV series "Taraf Talet", the 2016 TV series "Grand Hotel", the 2017 TV series "Asham Iblis", and the 2016 film "Kedbet Kol Youm".
On the other hand, Youssef is set to star alongside Ruby in the TV series "Shoghl Fanadek".
Mohamed Sami is directing the series from a script he co-wrote alongside Mohab Tarek.
The series, produced by Media Hub, marks the first collaboration between Ruby and Youssef.
"Shoghl Fanadek" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
The duo participated respectively in the last Ramadan drama marathon, Ruby with the TV series "Hadret El Omda" and Youssef with "The 101 Battalion".
Moreover, the actor is set to return for the long-awaited third outing in the franchise, "Welad Rizk 3: El Qadya" (Sons of Rizk 3: The Knockout).
Sayed Ragab will reprise his role as Ma'alem Sakr as well as Asser Yassin is set to reappear as Al Shayeb in the installment and will have more screen time for the character in preparation for the "Welad Rizk" spin-off film "Al Shayeb" (The King).
The film was first announced in 2019 in the post-credit scene of "Welad Rizk 2".
It also features Eyad Nasser returning for the film as well as features Maged El Kedwany making a cameo appearance.
"Welad Rizk" first premiered in 2015 and hails from screenwriter Salah El Gehiny and director Tarek Alarian.
The film features an all-star ensemble cast that includes Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawood, Karim Qassem, Mohamed Mamdouh, and Ahmed El Fishawy.
"Welad Rizk 3" is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon.
