Farouk Hosny Foundation to Organize Seminar for Architecture Awards

Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts will organize tomorrow, Monday, a seminar for the foundation's Architecture Awards in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.

Held under the theme of "Reflections on Farouk Hosny Foundation Art Awards for Architecture," the seminar will be organized at the Cairo Campus of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.

Professor Aleya Abd El-Hady, the member of Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts Board, will review the the targets of the foundation, alongside Riham El-Moghraby, the Foundation's Business Development Manager, who will talk about the various activities of the foundation.

Furthermore, Professor Sohier Hawas, the awards' jury member, will express the importance of the awards and its positive impact on promising architects.

In addition, architect Hamdy El-Setouhy, the awards' jury member, will reflect the essence of the competition and its importance in creating opportunities for rising architects to present their visions and ideas.

After that, participants will make brief presentations for their various projects such as Hope Domes, “IL Moltaka," “Domes of Hope," "The Center of Life: Luxor" and others.

The seminar will also include a discussion for the award's shortlisted works which entitled as "The Center of Life" as a new form of public building that carries different activities dedicated to education, culture, and knowledge, and the importance of those activities to be more connected to the society, and integrated for facing the current and forthcoming global challenges.

This seminar is part of the foundation's plan to organize more events through the year, alongside its annual art awards to keep the channel of communication and creativity open with artists and innovators.
