CAIRO, Dec. 5 (SEE)-  ‘Tajreed’ exhibition by Farouk Hosni, the former Minister of Culture, at Contemporary Art Platform (CAP) was commenced in the presence of a number of art lovers, artists and intellects in Kuwait.

The exhibition included 39 works by the talented artist which embraced various techniques of the abstract style that characterize most of  Hosny's works, yet ranged from free to geometric and diagnostic abstraction, a relatively different stage for the artist's works.

Two main criteria characterized the paintings; the proportionality of colors and their ability to express different poetic states in almost all the works. The artist's focus is not on the geometrical relations in the formations depicted in the paintings, but rather on the relationships between colors and their harmony or contrast to create a specific effect.

The audiences were impressed with the exhibition and the works presented, especially the paintings that had touches of deep diagnosis.

Mr. Amer Al-Henaidi, Chairman of  CAP, expressed his happiness with the establishment of this exhibition and the presence of Hosni in Kuwait. He said that he was delighted with the experience assuring that these paintings reveal some of the modernity of contemporary Egyptian art.

Attendees included Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Tariq Al-Kooni along his wife Kuwaiti artist Huda Al-Qooni and Dr. Sulaiman Al-Askari, former Secretary General of the National Council for Culture and Arts.

This is second time that Hosni holds an exhibition for his works in Kuwait, where the public is known for their taste of arts and fine art in general.
