Dr. Mohammed Fayez Farhat, Chairman of Al-Ahram Establishment, inaugurated the eighth edition of the Arab Forum for Caricature Pioneers on Monday. Organized by the Arab Association for Caricature Arts, headed by satirist and artist Emad Gomaa, in cooperation with Al-Ahram, the exhibition is hosted at the Al-Ahram Newspaper Exhibition Hall and will run until January 3.
Honors and Appreciation
During the opening ceremony, Emad Gomaa—the forum’s founder and director—honored Dr. Mohammed Fayez Farhat and artist Amany Zahran, Director of Acquisitions and Art Exhibitions at Al-Ahram, presenting them with the Forum’s Shield. The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of fine artists, cartoonists, intellectuals, and media professionals.
In his keynote speech, Dr. Farhat expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participating artists. He praised the artworks for their honorable portrayal of major icons in journalism, culture, and art. He also noted his pride that this eighth edition coincides with the 150th anniversary of Al-Ahram Establishment, celebrating its legacy alongside a stellar group of artists.
