The invention helped solve the difficulties of young girls in the impoverished area, who often left school during their menstrual cycle, due to their inability to buy sanitary pads.

The students were able to transform natural banana fibers into sanitary pads. They managed to assemble big quantities and succeeded in distributing them to resolve societal necessity.

The competition is organized every year with the participation of public and private universities as well as higher institutes. Each university introduces innovative projects that address the challenges and problems of the society in the presence of companies’ CEOs.

Enactus is a non-profit international student organization that has branches in most universities. It aims at connecting university students, faculty members, and businessmen in one workshop to benefit from the scientific aspects and experiences of faculty members and to provide practical training opportunities for students.

Team won the worled prize

Last year, the 6th of October university team, known as the "Jasmine team", won the 2nd place in the international competition for the cultivation of jasmine. The team helped Gharbia Governorate regain its lead in the production of the plant, providing 45% of global demand.
