“Shameless” actress Emmy Rossum and her husband Sam Esmail welcomed their first child.
The new mom announced Tuesday the news on Instagram, saying: “On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13 AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world,”.
She also shared a series of pregnancy photos that featured Esmail and the newborn’s footprint.
The couple did not reveal the baby's name.

The actress had kept her pregnancy a secret leading up to the big day, which caught fans by surprise and led to her name trending on Twitter following the announcement.
Rossum and Esmail tied the knot in May 2017 at Central Synagogue in Manhattan, followed by a lavish reception at the Guggenheim and a honeymoon in Rwanda. They got engaged in fall 2015.
The actress will be seen in a mini-series, “Angelyne,” in which she plays the title role. It is currently in post-production.
