Lebanese superstar, Elissa dropped Thursday her new song "Hobak Mthl Beirut," on YouTube and digital music platforms.

It is by the lyrics of Jan Nakhoul and composed by Jan Nakhoul and Mohamed Bashsr.

The superstar in a gesture full of love and loyalty gave a special tribute to the city of Beirut and its resilience in the face of crises.

“Beirut, you’ve been through so much, yet your heart still beats strong, this song is for you, for your strength and beauty, and most of all, for your people, for every soul that calls you home. To a love that never fades," Elissa says on the track.

The song’s music video, directed by Elie Fahed, shows Elissa strolling through the streets of Beirut, capturing life in a city that has managed to overcome the effects of war and regain its unique spirit.

The Lebanese superstar teased the track on her Instagram earlier this week by sharing a glimpse from the track that shows an elderly woman on her balcony throwing a piece of cloth that reads: “Hobak Mthl Beirut” (Your love is like Beirut), in a nod at the title.

“Hobak Mthl Beirut” marks Elissa's first music since releasing her 13th album, "Ana Sekketen" on May 7.

The record consists of 12 tracks including the songs "Kello Wahem", "Sekketen", and "Batmayel Ala El Beat". It is produced by the pop star's E-Records music production company and Rotana.

In the album, she cooperated with a large number of poets and composers, including Tamer Ashour and Marwan Khoury.
