Lebanese superstar Elissa has returned to her residence in Lebanon after undergoing surgery for her hand in the United States.   

The acclaimed singer took to Twitter to share a health update and thank all those who checked on her wellbeing.

"I am back in Lebanon and feeling great thanks God. Thank you for all those who got worried and asked about me. Much love to all of you," Elissa tweeted on Wednesday.

On January 17, the acclaimed singer traveled to the United States to undergo surgery for her hand.

"I am on a quick trip for a small and easy procedure for my hand. You don’t have to worry or be alarmed. Thank you for asking. Love you loads ❤️" she tweeted.

Elissa has been the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist since 2005. She sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

In 2005, she became the first Lebanese singer to be awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist, an award that she earned once again in 2006 and 2010.

The singer is often referred to as “Maliket El Ehsas” (Queen of Emotions) by fans and the media.

Elissa’s artistic journey began in 1992 when she won the silver medal in the Lebanese music competition “Studio El Fan”.

The singer’s debut studio album, “Baddy Doub” (I Want to Melt), was released by EMI Music Arabia in 1999.
