Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly said on Wednesday that the electrical interconnection line between Saudi Arabia and Egypt will enter service in May or June in what will be a first phase with a capacity of 1,500 megawatts of the line's total capacity of 3,000 megawatts.
The electrical connection project between Egypt and Saudi Arabia consists of the construction of three high-valtage transmission stations, a station east of the city, the Tabuk station in the Kingdom, and the Badr station east of Cairo, connected by air transport lines up to about 1,350 kilometers in lengths and submarine cables.
