Egyptian actress Yasmin Abdelaziz gave her first interview since her near-fatal health scare.
The beloved actress suffered from a health crisis due to complications from a gynecological surgery she underwent on July 11, which required her to travel to Switzerland on August 9 to complete her treatment.
Abdelaziz along with her husband, actor Ahmed Elawady, made an appearance on prominent TV host, Mona El-Shazly’s program “Makom Mona El-Shazly” broadcast on “CBC” Channel.
The interview was pided into two parts. The first was aired Wednesday night and featured the beloved actress opening up about the health problems she had experienced lately.
The second part of the interview, aired on Thursday, featured the actor depicting his wife’s health struggle as well as the making of their TV series “Elli Maloush Kbeer”.

Elawady disclosed the reason behind not traveling with his wife during her treatment trip to Switzerland, was for a reason beyond his control.
“She had a visa, and I did not. It was not easy to obtain, especially during the Coronavirus. It wasn’t about going to the embassy where I tell them that I am an actor, so they will give it to me; these were the procedures and it takes time,” he noted.
Elawady added: “The important thing was that she had someone, whether I or her brother, Sherif, in order to pass this and as long as she knows; this is the most important thing for me,”.
During the interview, the actress shared that he was the one to make her walk when she was unable to.
“I underwent four operations in two months, I couldn't walk as much as I could, but he was keen that I would get back to my previous shape, and he told me ‘to straighten my back’ as well as told me to how to walk; Ahmed spent three months with me sleeping on the couch,” she added.

The couple also talked about their collaboration on the TV series “Elli Maloush Kbeer”, which premiered in the Ramadan 2021 drama marathon and marked their first collaboration.
The actress revealed that the producer Hossam Shawky asked her whether if she was planning to do a project with her husband.
“I told him that this series will be the reason for my porce and it wasn’t a good idea and that I don’t mess around with my work,” Abdelaziz stated.
The actor also shared that he had refused the series, in the beginning, believing that it would create problems between them.
“I did not want that, but Hossam Shawky convinced me afterward because I trusted his a lot opinion,” he added.
