Egypt's theatrical production "Wadarat Al-Ayyam" will participate in the official competition of the 11th Fujairah International Monodrama Festival, scheduled to take place from April 10 to 18. The monodrama, penned by Amal Fawzy, stars veteran actress Wafaa El-Hakim and is directed by Fady Fouquet. It is produced by Al-Hanager Theater for the Arts.

The play delves into the emotional journey of a middle-aged woman whose husband's passing forces her to confront past struggles, memories, and suppressed thoughts. As she revisits her life with him, an internal voice emerges, challenging her perceptions and leading her toward self-discovery.
El-Hakim's performance transcends a single character, instead embodying the collective stories of many women drawn from real-life experiences. Amal Fawzy’s writing and Fady Fouquet’s direction aim to bring these narratives to life on stage.
The production team includes Ahmed Al-Nasser for music, Abu Bakr Al-Sharif for lighting, and Islam Abbas for makeup. Assistant directors include Ahmed El-Desouky, Ramadan Moussa, Mina Ibrahim, and Marwa Hassan, with Sami Al-Masry as the executive director.
Another Egyptian play, "Diaries of a Defeated Actor," will also feature in the festival. Directed by Saudi artist Matar Zayed, the production stars Ibrahim Amr and is produced by the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts.
The Fujairah International Monodrama Festival remains a significant global platform dedicated to one-person theatrical performances, attracting artists from around the world to showcase their creative talents.
