Within the framework of supporting and strengthening multilateral security cooperation relations with 

The Arab countries, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, visited the Republic of Tunisia heading a high-level security delegation to participate in the forty-first session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, which is currently held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in the Tunisian capital.

 

Following his arrival, the Minister of the Interior stressed the importance of participating in the activities of the current session of the Council in light of the growing security challenges facing the Arab countries, pointing out to the necessity of activating bilateral and multilateral security coordination mechanisms among the Arab security services to confront the challenges related to the spread of extremist thought and ideologies and organized crimes in all their forms.

He also thanked his Tunisian counterpart for the hospitality that the Egyptian delegation has received, praising the tireless efforts made by the Tunisian Ministry of Interior and the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers for the success of the activities of this annual Arab security forum.
