Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty is set to receive on Monday Ali Shaath, head of the National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip, as part of Egypt’s ongoing role in supporting stabilization efforts in the enclave.
The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a newly formed transitional technocratic body, held its inaugural meeting in Cairo following its establishment under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 and the 20-point peace plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump. The meeting formally marked the committee’s assumption of civil administration and internal security responsibilities in Gaza, pending the completion of reform measures by the Palestinian Authority.
