Egypt's FM, Serbian Counterpart to Exchange Visits, Maintain Coordination

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry agreed with his Serbian Counterpart Ivica Dačić in a telephone call to exchange visits and maintain coordination between Egypt and Serbia.

According to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid, Shoukry received a phone call from Dačić and discussed existing cooperation between the two countries at international forums.

They also discussed ways to boost bilateral relations between both countries.

Both officials underlined the importance of building on President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Serbia in July 2022.

Earlier this week, Former Serbian president Boris Tadić and his accompanying delegation visited Cairo where they met with Egyptian officials above them Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

During Tadić’s visit, it was announced that Egypt was going to import wheat from Serbia and Romania through the Romanian Port of Constanta.

The exchange of trade between Egypt and Serbia reached $79.7 million in 2021 including $42.2 million in exports from Egypt.
