Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty affirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing the highest level of care for Egyptians living abroad, as well as to continuously working on developing consular services and strengthening channels of communication with expatriate communities.

Abdelatty made the remarks during a meeting he held on Thursday with some members of the Egyptian community in Moscow as part of efforts to enhance direct communication with Egyptians abroad, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

During the meeting, the foreign minister reviewed the efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state to support its nationals abroad, pointing to the ministry’s keenness to continuously improve the level of consular services through expanding digital transformation and launching new initiatives in cooperation with various state institutions.

These efforts aim to meet the needs of Egyptians abroad and facilitate their access to services efficiently, quickly, and smoothly, he noted.

Abdelatty expressed his appreciation for the national role played by the Egyptian community in Russia, emphasizing that they represent an important bridge for strengthening relations between Egypt and Russia as well as between their peoples.

He also underscored the importance the state attaches to continuous communication with various segments of Egyptian communities around the world, commending the success achieved by the sixth edition of the Egyptians Abroad Conference, held in Cairo in August 2025, as an effective platform for dialogue and exchange of views.

He extended an invitation for active participation in the seventh edition, scheduled to be held next August.

The meeting included an interactive discussion with members of the Egyptian community, addressing a number of issues related to their conditions and needs.
