Egypt's agricultural exports from January 1, 2022, to October 26, 2022, amounted to 5,285,820 tons of agricultural products, an increase of 335,639 tons over last year, which amounted to about 4,950,181 tons during the same period last year.

This came within a report received by the Minister of Agriculture Al Sayed el-Qusayr, from Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the Central Department of Agricultural Quarantine, on the total agricultural exports, according to a ministry statement on Friday.

It pointed out that the most important agricultural exports are citrus fruits, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries, fresh beans and guavas, garlic, mangoes, watermelons, and pomegranates.

The total agricultural exports of citrus reached 71,637 million tons, in addition to the export of 861,901 tons of fresh potatoes, ranking second in agricultural exports after citrus, while 386,011 tons of onions were exported, occupying the third place in exports.

Grapes ranked fourth in agricultural exports, with a total of 152,445 tons, while beans ranked fifth in exports, with a total of 150,864 tons.

While Egypt's exports of potatoes ranked sixth with a total quantity of 104,645 tons, while Egypt's exports of pomegranate ranked seventh with a total of 98,350 tons, followed by mangoes with a total of 55,538 tons.

Tomatoes ranked ninth in exports, with a total amount of 36,248 tons, while garlic ranked tenth in Egyptian agricultural exports, with a total amount of 28,796 tons, and strawberries ranked eleventh in agricultural exports, with a total amount of 19,425 tons. 

While watermelon ranked twelfth in Egyptian exports, with a total quantity of 9,096 tons, and guava ranked thirteenth in Egyptian agricultural exports, with a total quantity of 8722 tons.
