Egypt's Agricultural Exports Exceed 3.4 Million Tons

The Ministry of Agriculture issued a report on total agricultural exports during the period from Jan-May  2023, as it amounted to about 3,4 million tons of agricultural products, an increase of 432,342 tons, year-on-year, from  2,9 million tons.

The report indicated that the most important agricultural exports are citrus fruits, potatoes, fresh onions, yams, pomegranates, garlic, strawberries, beans, guavas, tomatoes, and grapes, and fresh potatoes, which ranked second in agricultural exports after citrus fruits, while 238,916 tons of onions were exported, occupying the third place in exports, and beans occupied the fourth place in agricultural exports with a total of 54,588 tons.

Sweet potatoes ranked fifth in exports, with a total of 50,237 tons, while Egypt's tomato exports ranked sixth, with a total amount of 41,327 tons.

Egypt's exports of strawberries ranked seventh with a total of 23 thousand and 9 tons, followed by garlic in eighth place with a total of 14 thousand and 469 tons, while guava got the ninth place in exports with a total amount of 8685 tons, while pomegranate got the tenth place in Egyptian agricultural exports with a total quantity of 3520 tons, and grapes ranked eleventh in agricultural exports, with a total quantity of 2880 tons.
