The Egyptian artist Nagat Farouk Soliman was honored with the Arts Award for her painting, “Sart Min Ayouni Dumou’i” (Tears Flowed from My Eyes), at the fourth annual Kanz Al Jeel Award ceremony in Al Ain.

The event, held under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) at Al Muwaiji Palace, coinciding with the launch of the 2025 Al Ain Book Festival.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented the awards to Soliman and other winners in various categories, including poetry and research focused on Nabati poetry.

The Omani poet Ali Al Harthi won the Poetic Imitation branch, while Kuwaiti poet Hamed Zaid Al Azmi was awarded for his collection. Emirati poet Mohammed Rashid Al Shamsi was named the Creative Personality.

Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC, noted that the awards encourage new artistic and scholarly contributions to the rich heritage of Nabati poetry, fulfilling Abu Dhabi's commitment to supporting the Arabic language.
