Egyptian 133 m. container rescued near Damietta

Damietta port authorities succeeded in rescuing a 133-meter length Egyptian container, Xpress Nile, after facing a sudden failure in its engine functions. 

The vessel issued a rescue call 8-nautical miles away from Damietta port, northeast Egypt.

In the same context, Kamel Al Wazir directed the authorities to rescue the ship immediately by sending tugboats to the scene for saving the vessel's crew.

Shortly, the port's authorities confirmed that the mission of rescuing the ship was successfully accomplished and the containers of the vessel are being moved amid the process of fixing its engines.

It is worthy to mention that the maritime status in Egypt currently is being followed heavily due to the crisis of the "Ever Given" container that blocking the maritime process in the international waterway.
