Dr. Khaled Sofi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, won the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for two years, as the first Egyptian Arab to hold this position since the establishment of the organization in 1947, which is a culmination of his pioneering role in the field of specifications and quality at the regional and international levels.
Dr. Khaled Sofi stressed that winning the presidency of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a true culmination of the great interest that the Egyptian state pays to activate the pioneering role of the Arab Republic of Egypt to be among the active countries in setting policies and strategies at the international level.
Soufi expressed his thanks and pride in the support of Lieutenant General Engineer/ Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, for his continuous support to the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality, and as a culmination of these efforts, Egypt won this position.
Sofi expressed his thanks and pride in the support of all Arab, African and friendly countries from around the world, as well as the great role played by the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization, the Standardization Organization of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO) and the Standards Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
