Egypt voiced its deep concern, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, after the escalation of military operations in the Red Sea region, and the air strikes that were directed to a number of regions within Yemen, calling for the necessity of joining international and regional efforts to reduce the severity tension and instability in the region, including navigation security in the Red Sea.

Egypt considered the dangerous and accelerating developments taking place in the southern Red Sea and Yemen region, warning repeatedly of the dangers of  widening the conflict in the region as a result of the continued Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry stressed the inevitability of ceasefire, ending the current war against Palestinian civilians, which spares the region more factors of instability, conflicts and threats to international peace and security.
