PM Mustafa Madbouly held a meeting Tuesday to follow up the plan to reduce electrical loads, in the presence of Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity, and Tarek el -Molla, Minister of Petroleum.
Mohamed El -Homsany, the spokesperson for the Cabinet stated that the government responded to many requests submitted by Parliament deputies and citizens, regarding changing the times of reducing electricity loads during the current period, and not to cut electricity at night, given the start of the mid-year exams.
The spokesperson added: The Ministry of Electricity has taken a number of measures during the past days, and it is scheduled to start implementing what has been agreed upon, starting from tomorrow, Wednesday, where the period for power cuts will be from 11 am until 5 PM.
The Ministry is expected to release loads reduction schedules for each region (two hours per day), so that the mitigation period ends at 5 PM.
