The first group of trucks from Egypt’s 46th humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza departed on Tuesday morning from the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing. This convoy is carrying thousands of tons of relief supplies intended for Palestinians in the war-torn enclave.

As part of the ongoing initiative “Zad Al-Ezz” (Provisions of Dignity), the convoy includes significant quantities of food, medical supplies, and materials for shelter. The shipments consist of flour, rice, pasta, canned goods, medical equipment, medicines, and emergency shelter materials.

In a notable development, six fuel trucks loaded with diesel are also preparing to leave the Rafah terminal and head toward the Karem Abu Salem crossing, which is currently the only entry point available for humanitarian aid from Egypt into Gaza.

The convoy's movement comes after the reopening of the Kerem Shalom crossing, which had been closed for the past two days due to restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities. This closure temporarily halted the flow of humanitarian assistance from Egypt to Gaza.

Moreover, Egyptian authorities have dispatched several trucks carrying electric generators for the first time in months, as part of efforts to support Gaza’s critical infrastructure and humanitarian needs.

The resumption of aid convoys through Rafah and Kerem Shalom highlights Egypt’s ongoing role in facilitating humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people amid the challenging situation on the ground.
