Egypt Seeks to Maximize Benefit with OECD, Says PM

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that Egypt seeks to make the most of successful experiences through cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Madbouly added during a meeting on Wednesday with Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Jeffrey Schlagenhauf that the state is also seeking to apply the export standards approved by the organization to the products of member states in a step aimed at upgrading the quality of Egyptian products to compete in global markets.

The Premier expressed his appreciation for his participation in the meetings of the "Egypt Forum for International Cooperation and Development Finance", adding that the past period witnessed a series of meetings with the OECD within the framework of formulating a country program linking Egypt and the org. to establish a framework for coordinating the various priority areas of cooperation for the government.

On his part, Schlagenhauf said he is looking forward to signing a protocol for a regional program in the near future.
