Egypt Renovates Al-Ashraf St. to Promote Religious Tourism

Egypt's Cairo Governorate has renovated Al-Ashraf Street and restored the street's heritage sites to their former glory with integrated services, including more greenery, new wooden terraces, a pedestrian sidewalk, and parking areas.

The project comes as part of Egypt's plans to restore and renovate the shrines and tombs of the Prophet Muhammad’s family and surrounding roads and squares in a step intended to support religious tourism in the heart of the ancient capital.

It is expected that many historic and archaeological sites and monuments like El Sayeda Zeinab Mosque, and El Sayeda Ruqayya Mosque will be renovated as part of this plan.

It's worth mentioning that the mosques of Ahl al-Bayt have a special place in the hearts of many people who come to visit them from all over the world and on every occasion, to praise the importance of these mosques and their archaeological and historical value, in addition to recognizing their moral value because they are affiliated to members of Ahl al-Bayt.

According to historians, Egypt is filled with such sites, with shrines belonging to the most beloved family in the Islamic world, who have had a positive impact in spreading the moderate Islamic call. Egypt also had schools that graduated many generations bearing the banner of the tolerance and mercy of Islam.
