On Thursday, Egypt's new advanced Carlo Bergamini-class frigate arrived at Alexandria's naval base, according to the spokesperson of the Armed force.

The crew of the Berenice frigate was trained within a program that was carried out in both Italy and Egypt.

Moreover, Berenice enjoys technical features and modern armament systems that enable it to achieve all combat missions during peace and war. It can also sail for 6,000 sea miles, according to Russia today.

The new frigate, like the other units, features a high degree of flexibility, capable of operating in all tactical situations.

144 meters long with a beam of 19.7 meters, the military ship has a displacement at a full load of approximately 6,700 tones.

The latest frigate has a maximum speed of over 27 knots and has a maximum accommodation capacity for a 200-person crew, according to the world military news site Navy Recognition.

It's worth mentioning that Egypt's first FREMM Bergamini frigate arrived at Alexandria's naval base on December 31, 2020.
