Today, the Alexandria Opera House is commemorating the death anniversary of the iconic Egyptian singer Abdel-Halim Hafez.

The classical Arabic Music ensemble of the Alexandria Opera House, led by the maven Maestro Ihab Abdel Hamid, is giving a concert on Thursday evening at Sayed Darwish Theatre to commemorate the 44th death anniversary of the legendary singer.

Moreover, the Alexandria Opera orchestra will play a host of late star Halim's remarkable masterpieces that have illuminated the history of modern Arab singing.

The event will be concluded with the most awaited performance by the Egyptian singer Mohamed Metwaly.

It's worth mentioning that the renowned ensemble was established in 2004, and presented many successful artistic concerts. It also participated in many domestic and international festivals.

On the other hand, Halim is considered one of the greatest Egyptian musicians along with Umm Kulthum, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Fawzi, and Nagat Elsaghir.
