Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed to Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah that Gulf security remains an integral part of Egyptian national security during a phone call on Thursday focused on regional developments and recent attacks targeting Kuwait.
During the call, Abdelatty renewed Egypt’s strong condemnation of the attacks against Kuwait, stressing Cairo’s full solidarity with the Gulf state and its support for all measures taken to protect Kuwaiti sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
The Egyptian foreign minister said Egypt stands firmly alongside Kuwait in confronting what he described as blatant attacks threatening the country’s stability and safety.
The conversation also included an exchange of views on regional developments and ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Abdelatty expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would lead to an agreement capable of ending the current war while addressing the security concerns of Gulf countries, describing such guarantees as essential for preserving Arab national security and achieving long-term regional stability.
The call comes amid heightened regional tensions and intensified diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation in the Gulf and wider Middle East.
