Egypt reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to continuing its active contribution to international peacekeeping efforts, underscoring its dedication to promoting global security, supporting the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and advancing sustainable development worldwide.

The statement was issued Friday by Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs on the occasion of the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers.

In its message, Egypt renewed its pride in the historic and leading role played by United Nations peacekeeping operations in maintaining international peace and security, highlighting the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges and conflict situations.

The ministry expressed profound appreciation for the sacrifices made by peacekeepers serving in missions across the world, praising their commitment to carrying out what it described as a noble humanitarian mission under often difficult and dangerous circumstances.

Egypt also paid tribute to those who lost their lives while serving in peacekeeping operations, honoring their dedication and sacrifice in the pursuit of peace and stability.

The statement emphasized that Egypt remains firmly committed to strengthening the foundations of security and stability, supporting diplomatic and peaceful solutions to conflicts, and contributing to international efforts aimed at creating safer and more prosperous societies.

As one of the longstanding contributors to United Nations peacekeeping missions, Egypt has played a significant role in supporting international peace and security initiatives over several decades, providing personnel and expertise to operations in various regions around the world.

The reaffirmation comes as the international community marks the contributions of UN peacekeepers and recognizes their role in conflict prevention, civilian protection, and post-conflict stabilization efforts across some of the world's most challenging environments.
