The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) contracted on behalf of the Ministry of Supply, through an international tender, to purchase 360,000 tons of Russian, Ukrainian and Romanian wheat, as part of the ministry's strategy to support its stocks of basic commodities.
The authority stated, in a statement Wednesday, that 180,000 tons of Russian wheat, 120,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat, and 60,000 tons of Romanian wheat had been contracted.
