Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait issued a decision to prohibit the transfer of Egyptian and foreign currencies or any bearer negotiable instrument (BNI), including cheques, securities and bonds via postal parcels.
The decision comes after reviewing the Customs Law No. 66, the Anti-Money Laundering Law No. 80, and the Banking and Critic Law No. 88, regulating disclosure procedures for those entering and leaving the country.
The decision was published in the official gazette on Wednesday.
