The Egyptian pavilion included books from perse cultural, civilizational, literary and scientific aspects. It also included the biographical books of Egyptian scholars and historians.

14 countries attended the exhibition: Egypt, Australia, China, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

The exhibition also hosts several cultural events and scientific seminars especially in the field of literacy, education, and culture.

Participation in the Fair enhances Egypt’s soft power globally.

It is noteworthy that the Book Fair is the center of national and international promotional activities, transactions, discussions and interactions for publishers, writers, librarians, literacy activists, arts, culture and education, and other creative industry players.

For domestic participants, it is a gateway to the global market; for foreign participants, is the gateway to entering giant markets in Southeast Asia.

IIBF helps participants to meet the goals and to meet potential business partners. IIBF is not just a book fair, it’s a book affair

It is also an annual book exhibition organized by IKAPI. It was established in 1980.

The 2014 Indonesia Book Fair became Indonesia International Book Fair (IIBF) with Saudi Arabia as its first Guest of Honor country, followed by South Korea in 2015 and Malaysia in 2016.

IIBF is a meeting point, a strategic and prestigious event for exhibitors to promote literature, art, culture, and all other creative content, through rights licensing and other means of cooperation.
