Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the sidelines of the Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha, reaffirming their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations while addressing the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif strongly condemned what he described as Israel’s “reckless aggression” and praised Egypt’s proactive diplomacy at a critical moment, especially its role in delivering humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
Both leaders agreed that unity within the Muslim world is essential to hold Israel accountable and to safeguard peace and stability across the region.
Sharif and El Sisi also discussed the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening Pakistan-Egypt ties. Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation in trade, investment, and the health sector.
The Pakistani premier stressed that closer economic collaboration with Cairo will bring tangible benefits to both nations, creating stronger foundations for regional cooperation at a time of heightened instability in the Middle East.
