The Cabinet's Media Center published a series of infographics on its social media platforms, highlighting Egypt's continued leadership among Arab countries in renewable energy generation capacity.

This achievement reflects the state's ongoing commitment to the energy sector, a cornerstone of sustainable development. The government is implementing the National Integrated and Sustainable Energy Strategy, which aims to diversify energy sources, increase reliance on renewable energy, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This is being achieved through expanding major national projects in solar and wind energy, as well as developing electricity interconnection projects with neighboring countries. These projects support the energy mix and strengthen Egypt's role as a regional hub for electricity exchange and export, thereby enhancing its regional standing in clean energy production.

The infographics also showcased the international recognition of the country's efforts in transitioning to clean energy. PFI magazine announced that the "Abydos 2" solar power project, implemented by AMEA Power, won the "Deal of the Year in Africa" award at the 2025 PFI Awards.
