The Arab Contractors Company in Uganda is approaching the completion of the Saka Road and Bridge project, which passes through a swampy area and contains the Blugumba River, which is witnessing floods that cause the road between a number of important cities in eastern Uganda to be cut off, and have recently caused the death of 28 Ugandan citizens.
The Arab Contractors Company quickly worked on completing the project to protect the lives of citizens from the flood, as the timetable was compressed and 85% of the works were implemented in half the scheduled period, amid great praise from local officials, officials of the Ugandan Roads Authority, and residents of those areas, due to the speed of response and quality. According to the statement issued by the company, the project is 4.5 km long and includes the construction of a 60-meter bridge over the river, with 3 navigation openings. The project also includes 10 other industrial works.
