Egypt strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, considering them a systematic escalation, a blatant violation of international law, and a disregard for the United Nations Charter.
In a statement issued by Foreign Ministry, Egypt emphasized that this Israeli approach exacerbates tensions and conflict, constituting a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
Moreover, Egypt called on the relevant international parties and the United Nations Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities in compelling Israel to cease these blatant transgressions and to take necessary measures to put an end to them.
Furthermore, the statement underscored the importance of Israel’s withdrawal from the Syrian territories it has recently occupied, in clear violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, as a step toward the full withdrawal from the Syrian territories occupied in 1967, affirming that the Golan Heights is Syrian land under occupation.
