Egypt has welcomed a joint statement issued on July 21 by the foreign ministers of 25 countries concerning the ongoing situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. The statement strongly called for an end to Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip and condemned Israel's actions that have obstructed the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians.

In an official statement, Egypt expressed full support for the unified stance of the 25 nations, particularly their rejection of proposals to relocate Palestinian civilians to what has been labeled a “humanitarian city.” Cairo emphasized that any forced displacement of Palestinians constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

Egypt also welcomed the statement’s condemnation of Israel’s continued settlement expansion in the West Bank and the violent acts committed by Israeli settlers against Palestinian communities.

Reaffirming its long-standing commitment to regional peace, Egypt highlighted its ongoing efforts—alongside Qatar and the United States—to reach a ceasefire in Gaza. It further called on the international community to adopt concrete measures in support of the two-state solution.

The statement underscored the urgent need for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Egypt stressed that this should include formal recognition of the State of Palestine and the revival of a clear and effective political process to secure lasting peace in the Middle East.
