Egypt has secured a remarkable global achievement in the energy sector, ranking second worldwide in the growth of electricity generated from natural gas in 2024.
According to international energy data, the country recorded an impressive increase of 15.1 terawatt-hours (TWh), highlighting its rapid development and growing reliance on gas-powered electricity.
The milestone aligns with recent statements by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who affirmed the government's full preparedness to meet the anticipated surge in electricity demand during the summer months. He emphasized that there will be no power load shedding across the country, reflecting the robustness and resilience of Egypt’s energy infrastructure.
This achievement not only showcases Egypt’s strategic investments in energy diversification and infrastructure but also underscores its regional leadership in managing energy challenges through sustainable and scalable solutions.
