CAF decided on Tuesday, October 8 to restage the Champions League match between Egypt’s Zamalek and Senegal’s Generation Foot in Cairo.
The Whites were due to host the Senegalese side at Cairo’s Petro Sport Stadium on Saturday, September 29, but the match was moved to Alexandria’s Borg Al Arab Stadium a day later due to claimed security reasons presented by Zamalek in an official letter to CAF.
The crisis sparkled after the Senegalese club refused to head to Alexandria, and they withdrew from the White Knights’ encounter in the second leg of the last 32.
