In September 2021, Doina made her first public appearance since the death of her parents, veteran stars Samir Ghanem and Dalal Abdel Aziz.
She took part in the opening ceremony of the 14th Egyptian National Theater Festival, where she received an honor on the behalf of her parents by the festival.
Ghanem passed away at the age of 84 years old in May from complications of kidney failure while Abdel Aziz passed away at the age of 61 after a battle with Coronavirus side effects for over three months.
