Mrs. Ebtesamat Mohamed Abdullah, the first female officer in the Egyptian army, passed away at the age of 97. The deceased played a heroic role in the Palestine War in 1948.
She carried weapons and participated in nursing the wounded during the war in the field hospital that Egypt prepared inside Gaza City.
The Egyptian Armed Forces offered their sincere condolences to her family, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on her and inspire her family with patience and solace.
