Danish Officials Discuss Enhancing Cooperation with Electricity Min.

In a step intended to enhance their cooperation, Egypt's Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker met with the Danish Ambassador to Egypt Svend Olling and the head of Vestas Egypt, a Danish manufacturer of wind turbines, Jose Luis Jimeno to discuss the best ways to find fruitful investment opportunities and foster cooperation in their allied field of renewable energy.

During their meeting, the Danish officials hailed the strength of relations between Egypt and Denmark, which they hoped would be heightened by greater links on renewable energy industries. They also praised Egypt’s experience in developing its renewable energy sector.

In the same connection, they expressed Denmark’s desire to further invest in Egypt, which is considered by many to be a critical gateway to Africa, and boost cooperation between the nations’ electricity sectors.

Shaker took this opportunity to confer words of praise upon the historical political relations between Egypt and Denmark and welcomed cooperation with Danish companies, describing them as “reliable partners with great experience in electricity projects.”
