Egyptian Minister of Culture Enass Abdel Dayem will open the 13th annual Traditional Crafts Festival at Al Gazira Cinema Center nearby Cairo Opera House tomorrow. Abdel Dayem will be accompanied by Fine Arts Sector director Khaled Sorour.

This edition carries the name of celebrated critic Abdel Qader Mokhtar due to his efforts in preserving the Egyptian identity.

“Islamic Cairo Traditional Crafts” is the main slogan of this year’s edition; therefore, there is a fashion show for traditional outfits.

Abdel Dayem expressed the ministry’s interest in developing and supporting the traditional crafts for enhancing the national identity and protecting heritage and contribute to raising awareness against any terroristic views.

On his part, Sorour explained the variety of activities represented in the festival, which revive the Egyptian heritage and bridge it with the spirit of the age.
