Culture Min. Launches Theatrical Initiative "Laugh , Think, Know"

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, lauched a theatrical initiative entitled "Laugh, Think, Know". The initiative is executed by the Artistic House of Theater headed by the artist Ismail Mokhtar.

The initiative will witness the participation of the following troupes: “the confrontation troupe-Masrah Al Mouagha " led by the artist, Sahoun Bassouni and "The National Theater troupe" led by the artist of Ehab Fahamy.

The initiative aims at presenting 10 recorded plays as a first stage photographed by Ayman Mustafa; the plays are inspired from the short stories of the Russian writer Antho Chikov.

The initiative comes within the program of the E - initiative “Stay At Home ... Culture Between Your Hands” that is broadcast on the Ministry of Culture YouTube channel.

Abdel Dayem said that the plays contain an explanation of the principles of Chicov and analysis of the plays views in order to achieve the goal of the initiative to (Laugh, Think, and Know).

The initiative will include some of the Egyptian theatrical and literary icons including the distinguish directors: Al Sharqawi, Samir Al-Easari, Dr. Sanaa Shefei, Essam Al-Sayyah, Fahmy Al-Kawali and others.

The Minister of culture confirmed that the participation of these icons enriches this initiative program and addresses the state theater and stakeholders, carrying many positive messages promote the good values in our society.

She clarified that dealing with the international works confirms the importance of Egypt openness to the cultures of the whole world as well as re-discovering new views of the international authors who have made some of the features of the history of humanity.

It is worthy of note that the duration of each play is between 20 to 50 minutes.

The shows are: "Abu Alasa Jannah" directed by Hisham Awaat, "His Excellence" directed by Tamer Karam, "Class" directed by Islam Imam, "Class" directed by Mahzan al-Gharabawy and "Awel Al Shahr" directed by Sameh Bassiouni.

Furthermore, the initiative is preparing to display some other plays for the first phase, directed by Dr. Ashraf Zaki, Khaled Jalal, Murad Mounir, Mohamed Omar and Mohammed Morsi.
