Culture Min., Aswan Governor Inaugurate Toshka Culture Palace

With the warm welcome of the people of Toshka village and Nasr Al Nuba Center, Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture and Major General Ashraf Ateya, Governor of Aswan, opened Toshka Culture Palace after its renovation.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Awwad, head of the General organization of Cultural Palaces, an array of executive leaders of Aswan Governorate, members of the Assembly House, mayors and sheikhs of Toshka.

Abdel Dayem said that Toshka Culture Palace is a new tributary of creativity in the far south of Egypt.

Abdel Dayem added that the Ministry of Culture organizes various activities to invest the energies of young people, to discover and promote talents, to safeguard our identity and to support the values of belonging.

The minister also thanked the governor of Aswan for supporting the cultural activities and this inauguration.

On his part, the governor of Aswan appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and its concern to reach villages and border areas.

He praised the continuous creative activities implemented in various centers of the governorate, stressing his support for all cultural events held on the land of Aswan.

On the other hand, the Head of the Culture Palaces Organization said that the inauguration of Toshka Culture Palace is the 17th inauguration within two years.

He stressed on the continuous efforts to enrich the sites of the organization and to add new units to the Egyptian cultural structure.

The mayors and sheikhs of Toshka dedicated to the Minister of Culture, the governor of Aswan and the head of the Culture Palaces organization, shields of honor in an appreciation of their efforts to add Toshka Culture Palace to The Egyptian cultural structure.

It is worthy of note that, during the inauguration, Abdel Dayem inspected Toshka Culture Palace and its equipment which included: a theater, a public library, an information technology hall, studio halls, environmental crafts hall, plastic arts and children's activities hall.

The minister also attended artistic performances presented by Toshka children's Coral, Toshka spontaneous Ensemble and Bulgaria folkloric Arts Troupe.
